Tourism Ministry Advises Entertainment Clubs to Prepare for Reopening

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism has informed all capital-provincial governors on Thursday to prepare for the reopening of karaoke bars and other entertainment clubs next month.

 According to a letter from the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism has also issued an announcement on the Implementation of Tourism Safety Rules and Standard Operating Procedures for karaoke, bars , disco and other entertainment clubs to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to prepare for the reopening of the business when the Royal Government allows after 30 November 2021.

 The Ministry of Tourism has set out some guidelines as follows:

 * Phase 1: Preparations before re-launch

 1: To thoroughly examine and evaluate the readiness, fitness and performance of the business before deciding to allow any business to operate by notifying the operator in advance for the operator to apply for a business operation Karaoke KTV Club Entertainment Disco Bar.

 2: To thoroughly train business owners and employees on tourism safety rules and minimum standard operating procedures (SOP) in the new normal course for business, karaoke (KTV), entertainment clubs, bars, discos.

 * Phase 2: After the decision to allow the reopening

 1. The Capital-Provincial Administration shall establish mechanisms to continue regular and thorough inspections on the implementation of tourism safety rules and minimum standard operating procedures (SOPs) along the new normal trajectory for the karaoke (KTV) business, entertainment clubs, bars, discos. Once decided, allow re-launch.

 2. In case the business owner does not properly follow the tourism safety rules and minimum standard operating procedures (SOP) in the new normal course for karaoke business (KTV), entertainment club, bar, disco, tek, the Capital-Provincial Administration shall take additional measures as required to shut down the business and be responsible before the law in force.
